Invitation to The Norwegian Cancer symposium 2017 in Oslo

Associate professor in Food Science – ref.no 17/02525

The Faculty of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (KBM) has a vacant permanent position as associate professor in food science. The candidate to be employed should be an expert in food chemistry and health effects of food.
We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge and understanding of food chemistry, including how the food matrix and process-induced changes of raw materials and ingredients affect nutritional value, bioactivity and the content of health-promoting compounds.

The Faculty of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (KBM) employs about 160 people. KBM represents a broad range of scientific fields encompassing basic natural sciences such as chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology as well as the application of these towards food chemistry, technology and safety, biotechnology, bioprocessing and environmental issues. The Faculty is responsible for education, research and information within its remit. The Faculty has state-of-the-art analytical instruments and a small-scale pilot plant for processing of food. Additionally, KBM has a strong competence in enzymology, fermentation and biorefining.

Associate professor in Food Science – Ref.no 17/02524

The Faculty of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (KBM) has a vacant permanent position as associate professor in food science with emphasis on nutrition and health. We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge on the immune system, food allergy, nutrition and health. The candidate to be employed should have research interests in molecular mechanisms behind the effect of food on health and disease, in particular the diet’s interaction with the immune system (e.g. inflammation, food allergy or microbial interaction with the host).

2 positions: Associate professor, tenure-track, infection biology – Ref.no. 17/02033

NMBU invites applications for two tenure-track positions (six years) in infection biology. The positions are part of the University’s program for the recruitment of top researchers, which aims at recruiting internationally leading, early-career researchers with a high potential for NMBU:

  • Candidate 1 will be employed at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (VET), at present located at the Adamstua campus of NMBU.
  • Candidate 2 will be employed at the Faculty of Biosciences (Biovit) or the Faculty of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (KBM), depending on the candidate’s profile and research plan. Biovit and KBM are located on the Ås campus of NMBU.
