Welcome to the 57^th NBS Contact Meeting 2022 ^{February 10 – 13, 2022}

THE NBS CONTACT MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AS PLANNED

We are allowed to have 200 participants, according to the new national rules announced on January 13. Thus, the 57th contact meeting in Tromsø 10-13 of February will take place as planned! We still accept new registrations, and the abstract deadline has been extended until January 20, due to the extraordinary circumstances. Since the current rules allows for a maximum of 200; we may have to cancel registrations which will exceed this number.

Due to national meeting restrictions, the NBS 2022 Contact meeting must be held as a fixed-seating event and intense crowding to be avoided. Unfortunately, this setting is not compatible with a session with physical attendance of the poster presenters. As a compensation we are inviting all participants who submitted abstracts for poster presentations to give 3 min mini-talks to illustrate their research projects. Due to limited space for posters, we ask all participants who still want to passively display a poster during the meeting to get in touch at earliest convenience ([email protected]).

Welcome to the 57^th Norwegian Biochemical Society contact meeting to be held at Clarion Hotel The Edge in Tromsø February 10-13, 2022. By attending you will meet in person many interesting internationally reputed speakers covering topics ranging from prebiotic processes, microbiology to structural biology, cell biology and immunology. We expect many interesting discussions and views on covid 19! As a special tribute to the young researchers striving to make a scientific career in Norway we have incorporated a special session on “HOW TO SUCCEED IN SCIENCE IN NORWAY”, where a panel of researchers will talk about their own experiences followed by a discussion. Due to the covid 19 situation there will be ample supply of antibac and we have reserved extended space to prevent too close contact during social gathering, and viewing of posters and exhibitions. In the extraordinary case of a new wave of covid 19 infections in Norway, we will postpone the meeting, and not keep a virtual conference. The registration is now open. Deadline for registration is January 10^th. Looking forward to seeing you all in Tromsø in 2022 for a real contact meeting!
